12 feared killed, others injured in Edo multiple auto crash

At least, 12 people were believed to have died and many others injured in a multiple road accident in Auchi, Estako West local government of Edo state on Tuesday.
Among the victims were the alms beggars at the ever busy AP filling station, where the tragic incident took place.
WITNESS NIGERIA gathered that the accident occurred around 7pm when a granite-laden truck with registration number Kaduna: XA 173 AG had brake failure, lost control and rammed into three vehicles and four commercial motorcycles at the station, killing all the occupants of the vehicles as well as some pedestrians, including the alms beggars.
Vehicles involved included a Honda car, (with registration number MC 942 EKY), a Honda Oddsey bus (marked BEN 346 AS) a Toyota Siena bus marked AAA 568 AZ and 4 unregistered motorbikes.
Men of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Auchi Command, who were involved in the rescue operation, reportedly conveyed corpses of the victims to the mortuary while the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
