We’ll fish out Ibadan ‘horror site’ sponsors -Police

The police, on Thursday, promised to apprehend every suspect behind the evil perpetrated at the kidnappers’ den uncovered last Saturday.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 11, Femi Omolaja, gave the vow in Ibadan when he visited the site at Soka in Oluyole Local Government area of Oyo state.
Omolaja, who said he was in Ibadan on the order of the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubarkar, noted that all those earlier arrested in connection with the criminal activities associated with the site will be prosecuted.
"Thorough investigation is ongoing and we don't want to disclose any identity of those arrested in order not to hinder our investigation" he said.
The senior police officer thanked the people of the state for cooperating with the police command and exercising patience since the forest was uncovered last Saturday.
He urged them to report any suspicious movement to the security agents.
Omolaja also appealed to the public to desist from taking laws into their hands, saying they should instead report to the law enforcement agents when they suspect any one of evil act.
He informed that the authorities decided to stop the demolition of structures within the ‘evil forest’ as a strategy to allow thorough investigation into the matter, adding that the demolition will be executed after the forensic experts complete their job on the site.
