Sokoto govt to purchase 300 tricycles for unemployed youths

The Sokoto State Government on Friday said it would spend N120 million to purchase 300 tricycles to facilitate mobility among its citizens.

Malam Danladi Bako, the state’s Commissioner for Information, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto that the gesture was part of the government's effort to create job opportunities for the unemployed youths.

He said the tricycles would be distributed to youths in the 23 local government areas at a subsidised price.

The commissioner said the gesture would assist the state government to further reduce poverty through job creation.
